1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating a BolBolo account or using the app, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the children you add. If you don’t agree, please don’t use BolBolo.
2. Who can use BolBolo
- Accounts may only be created by adults aged 18 or over who are the parent or lawful guardian of the children they add.
- Children may use BolBolo only through a parent’s account and with that parent’s consent.
- You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password safe and for how the children on your account use BolBolo.
3. What BolBolo provides
BolBolo offers English speaking practice for children aged 3 to 10: conversations with an AI buddy, role-plays, pronunciation practice, speaking tasks based on school chapters, rewards and parent reports.
BolBolo supports learning; it is not a replacement for school, teachers or professional speech and language therapy. We may change, add or remove features to improve the service.
4. AI-generated content
The buddy’s replies, corrections, feedback and reports are generated by AI. We design and filter them for young children, but AI can sometimes be wrong, unclear or unexpected. Please supervise young children and tell us at support@bolbolo.com if anything seems inappropriate.
Scores and levels are a guide to practice, not an official assessment of your child’s abilities.
5. Using BolBolo fairly
You agree not to, and not to let anyone on your account:
- use BolBolo for anything unlawful, harmful or unsuitable for children;
- try to make the AI produce harmful content, or misuse it for purposes other than learning;
- share other people’s personal information in the app;
- copy, resell, scrape or reverse-engineer the app or its content;
- interfere with BolBolo’s security or with other users.
6. Schools and class codes
If you join a class using a school’s class code, your child’s first name, avatar and weekly XP appear on that class leaderboard unless you switch it off in settings. Schools that work with us agree to separate terms.
7. Our content and yours
BolBolo’s lessons, characters (including the parrot buddy), design, software and other content belong to Prime Depth Labs or its licensors. You may use them only to use BolBolo for personal, non-commercial learning.
You and your child keep any rights in what your child says. You give us permission to use it only to run BolBolo for you, as described in the privacy policy. We don’t use your child’s recordings for advertising.
School board and book names are used only to describe which syllabus our lessons follow. BolBolo is not affiliated with or endorsed by NCERT, CBSE, CISCE or any state board.
8. Fees
BolBolo is free during early access. If we introduce paid plans, we will show the price clearly before you buy and you will never be charged without agreeing first. Any paid plan will have its own terms, including how to cancel.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using BolBolo and delete your account at any time from the app (see delete your data). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts children at risk, and will tell you why unless the law or a child’s safety prevents it.
10. Our responsibility to you
We work hard to keep BolBolo available, accurate and safe, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, and our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first at support@bolbolo.com so we can try to fix it. If we can’t, the courts of India will have jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as BolBolo grows. We’ll show the date at the top and, for important changes, tell parents in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use BolBolo after that means you accept the new terms.
